OrphanAct uses small international teams called Children's Action Teams.
These teams are linked to a children's facility. To be on a team an organization or individual donates $500 annually. This team discusses possible projects and programs with the facility director and in-country Rotarians and funds are raised for agreed upon projects and programs. OrphanAct seeks projects and programs that will have the most positive impact on the lives of the children.
Children's Action Teams are meant to be long term partnerships
Funding is raised in several ways:
-
Annual funds given by individuals and organizations that adopt the facility.
-
Funds donated for specific projects listed on each country's website.
-
Foundation and corporate grants.
Photos and details of the completed work at the target facilities are placed on the website.
If an organization or individual donor is not interested in a long term partnership but interested in funding a one-time project, these projects are listed on each country's website under 'projects'.
