Orphans

The current work of OrphanAct is focused on orphans in Russia, the Philippines, Uganda, and Egypt.  OrphanAct has been working in Siberia for three years.  Orphans often have parents and at times an orphan my have visits from a parent or other relative that lives in the area.  Sometimes the court system has taken the children away from the parents because of crime or drug use.  At other times the children or babies are dropped at the hospital or orphanage steps because the parents can simply not afford to keep the child.    At other times the children are picked up off the streets of the city.
